A bard named Khael dies and finds himself in purgatory, but the place looks is anything but usual. He speaks with an old man and asks what is happening. The man explains that purgatory has been conquered by the shadows of a tyrant king, who has transformed his own castle into this new realm of judgment. Khael is given a greatsword, even he doesn't know how to wield it, and must now battle these shadowy foes to free his own soul.

This prototype is a challenging fusion of two genres I'm passionate about: the deliberate, high-stakes combat of souls-likes and the dynamic, replayable nature of rogue-likes.

This prototype represents my debut in 3D development using Unity 6. Its primary purpose was to serve as a research and development testbed, allowing me to explore new code architecture, gameplay mechanics, and design philosophies for another project. It's a snapshot of my learning process and a foundation for what's to come.

As a developer primarily experienced with programming and 2D pixel art, transitioning to a 3D workflow was a significant but rewarding challenge. Throughout the development process, I leveraged official Unity Documentation and utilized AI tools like ChatGPT for troubleshooting and creative problem-solving, embracing modern resources to overcome new hurdles.

While this is a prototype, I'm proud that it successfully captures the core vision I set out to achieve.
